Cindy Black started with Redeemer Radio in December 2015. Cindy is the primary visionary for the organization. It is her responsibility to see where the organization can and will be in the next three to five years, and deisgn and implement strategies to fulfill that vision. In her words, she works to draw on the numerous gifts of our staff and volunteers to fulfill the mission of sharing the love of Jesus Christ with everyone we encounter.
Cindy calls herself a Port-A-Crib Catholic. After being baptized Catholic, her parents’ divorce meant she only attended mass very sparingly until she was old enough to drive herself. Cindy is a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul, Fort Wayne, where she and her husband Phil are on a core team for SALT Date Nights for Married Couples. She has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication from IPFW as well as a Master’s Degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. She and her husband Phil have been married since March of 1992, and have two children: A daughter named Eddie and a son named James.
James Chickowski joined the Redeemer Radio staff in March 2015 as Salesman, he handles the Business Underwriting and Sports Advertising for the 106.3 FM and 89.9 FM stations.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, James has been in sales across the country with over 40 years of experience in Industrial Sales and Marketing. He has been a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul in Fort Wayne, since moving to Fort Wayne in 1987. James is heavily involved with his parish through being server coordinator and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He and his wife, Lillian, have been married since October 1960 and he feels privileged to be a part of the Redeemer Radio family.
Luke Cusack joined the Redeemer Radio staff August 2015 as the Sales and Development Executive for the 95.7 FM market. He directs all networking and sales in the Michiana market, while developing other fundraising strategies.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Luke attended Davenport University in Grand Rapids for his undergraduate degree in Finance. He also discerned the Priesthood for a year and a half through the Diocese of Grand Rapids and attended Mundelein Seminary, then under the leadership of Bishop Robert Barron. He has a work background in Natural Resources, and Wholesale Building Materials. Luke has a devotion to St. Thomas More and is a huge Notre Dame Football fan. He and his wife, Melinda, were married May of 2015 and recently moved to South Bend.
Erin started with Redeemer Radio as an intern in February 2012; she was then hired in June of that year. Erin implements and monitors all marketing and branding of Redeemer Radio. This includes developing strategies to build brand awareness, manage the station's online presence, andcoordinate print materials and on-air messaging.
Baptized and raised Catholic, Erin is a parishioner at St. Jude, Fort Wayne with her family. She attended Bishop Dwenger High School and then continued her studies at IPFW where she studied Business Marketing at the Doermer School of Business and graduated in May 2012. She married her husband, Travis, July of 2013. They have two children: Abigail and Theodore.
Debbie Heiny joined the Redeemer Radio staff in May 2012. She is responsible for the trafficking of all commercials broadcasting as well as assisting all areas of the office. She brings a background in Education, Human Resources Management, and Office Administration.
Debbie was brought into the Catholic faith in 1990 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne. She and her husband, Martin, have been married since 1989 and have been members of St. Vincent De Paul Parish since 1991. Debbie is an active member at the parish as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and was a teaching assistant in 2nd grade at St. Vincent for 7 years. Debbie is a past member of the Women’s Junior Catholic Guild, Christ Child Society, Christ Renews His Parish Team #19, Small Christian Communities, and many Bible study groups. Debbie and Martin have three children: Maggie, Melanie, and Nick.
Doug Jones started as a volunteer with Redeemer Radio in 2010. He was hired in August 2011 as a full time employee. Doug is responsible for keeping the station on the air and sounding the best that it can. He comes to the station with 25 years of electronics equipment repair and maintenance.
Doug was brought up Lutheran and converted to Catholicism in 1982. He has been married to Susan since June of 1982 and they have two grown daughters. They have been members of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish since the Haverhill School days. Doug and his wife Susan also volunteer at Manapogo Park’s Masses in the summer months.
Jennifer joined the Redeemer Radio staff in January 2015 as the Community Relations Director for the 95.7 FM station. She will be working with the greater Michiana community and uniting them with Redeemer Radio.
Born and raised Catholic Jennifer grew up military and moved all over the USA and also lived in Germany. She graduated from Bethel College with a degree in Organizational Management in 2010. She and her husband, Rick, were married August 2014 and are parishioners at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Niles, MI. She is a Lifeteen Core member, Confirmation teacher and volunteers at Sacred Heart Parish, South Bend for various events. Jennifer has two children Gabrielle-kate Philomena and Joseph.
Jill O’Sullivan is responsible for running the office side of Redeemer Radio. Jill joined Redeemer Radio in April 2011 and brings a background in finance and accounting from the banking and manufacturing industries.
Jill was brought into the Catholic faith in 1997 at St. Peter’s Parish in Fort Wayne. She has been a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Fort Wayne since 2002. She’s an active member of the parish and school as a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and sports parent. Jill has been married to Kevin since November of 1997 and has a son, Sean.
Andrea Serani joined the Redeemer Radio staff in April 2014 as the Redeemer Mornings show Producer. You might know her as Andrea Allphin, but she happily took her new husband's last name when she married Xavier in October 2015.
Andrea handles the technical operations of Redeemer Mornings, helps develop programming ideas and schedule guests, and lends her voice to the show for the Church News segment each day.
Andrea is a parishioner of St. John the Baptist in Fort Wayne and a graduate of Bishop Luers High School. She studied Literature and Political Philosophy at Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Florida, then worked on special projects for the president of the University for two years before moving back to Fort Wayne. She loves reading, watching sports, and being friends with the saints!
Robert Skora started working with Redeemer Radio as a sports board operator in the fall of 2007 and joined the staff in September 2014 as the Technical Manager for the Fort Wayne Station. As Technical manager, Robert assists with audio production and IT network support while still being the lead sports board operator.
Baptized and raised Catholic, Robert is a parishioner at St. Patrick parish in Arcola, IN. He attended Bishop Dwenger High School, graduated in 2010 and then when on to study Computer Science at IPFW.
Deacon Jim Tighe joined Redeemer Radio staff in February 2014 as Redeemer Mornings Host.
Originally from Long Island, Deacon Jim Tighe is a graduate of Divine Word College in Epworth, Iowa. Deacon Jim brings three decades of broadcasting experience to Redeemer Radio, including being the morning host at the first Catholic radio station in the United States, KNOM in Nome, Alaska. That’s also where he met his wife of 38 years, Pat, when both were serving in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. He has worked at radio stations in places like Anchorage, Alaska and Sacramento, California. Ordained a deacon in 2011, he is assigned to St. Jude parish in Fort Wayne, where he and his wife have been parishioners for nearly 25 years.
Bob joined the Redeemer Radio staff in November 2014 as the Technical Manager for their Michiana station. As Technical Manager, Bob is responsible for the production of on-air messages, equipment maintenance and voice talent. His skill set, developed over 30 years in the broadcast industry, makes him uniquely qualified to meet the many exciting challenges facing Redeemer Radio’s Michiana Station.
Bob is a South Bend native and life-long Catholic. He and his wife are parishioners at St. Hedwig Parish in South Bend. Bob has served the Michiana market as a media broadcaster and administrator where he has worked as on-air talent in both radio and television, while maintaining many roles behind the scenes. He believes the Lord has finally placed him where he needs to be.
Jennifer Zurbuch joined the Redeemer Radio staff in February 2013 as the Director of Community Relations and Programming. She is responsible for uniting the local Catholic Community with Redeemer Radio, station programming, manage Sharathon, and much more.
Jennifer was born and raised in Fort Wayne, graduated from Elmhurst High School and Purdue University with a BA in Communications and a minor in Interior Design. Growing up she felt spiritually devoid and admired her Catholic friends for their peaceful nature. “Even though they had trials and were sinners like me, we were able to get thru them with, which I now know, is the grace of the Holy Spirit.” She was brought into the Catholic faith in 1991 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne. She and her husband, Bob, have been married since 1992 and have two children, Parker and Claire. She and her family are members at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Jennifer has been involved in CRHP, ARISE, Religious Education Catechist, WINGS, Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Vacation Bible School, Scouting and more at the parish.
Jennifer is a Midwest girl, originally from Beech Grove, Indiana. Her interest in weather came in middle school. She was living in Central Florida at the time and became fascinated with hurricanes and tracked every storm on the tracking charts you get at the grocery store. Her family moved to Pennsylvania when she was in high school and Jen went to the Pennsylvania State University (Go Lions!) and received her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 1995. Jennifer landed a job in the radio department at The Weather Channel in 1997. She has broadcasted on several radio affiliates across the country including: WIOD/Miami, WGST/Atlanta, WBAP/Dallas, WGY/Albany, WWKI/Kokomo, Indiana, WIBX/Utica, WRSA/Huntsville and WMNI/Columbus.
In her spare time, Jen is an avid tennis player. She plays on competitive leagues year round. She volunteers as a tennis coach with the Special Olympics. Jen is also pursuing training with her church in Disaster Response to be ready if called out to help those impacted by a disaster.
